It is hard to believe that the trip is already coming to an end. It has been a wonderful, terrible, and necessary experience. Along this difficult journey we have been privileged with two absolutely fantastic guides, and I would like to take this time to recognize and thank them. In addition to teaching us the important names, dates, and events surrounding the Holocaust, Michael and Sharon have taught us to wake up. Friends, wake up. It is a simple phrase we have heard often on our long and numerous bus rides. In addition to a kind and gentle wake up, it is an important reminder of why we are here. It is time to wake up, my friends. Wake up to the atrocities that occurred here, wake up to the injustices of our time, and most importantly, wake up to hope. So, my dear friends, it is time to wake up.
